Reeshel Mathew is the head of Social and Community Outreach Program at Al Fasht Medical Centre. Reeshel received his master’s degree, MSW Medical & Psychiatry from Dr. G.R. Damodharan College of Science Coimbatore, India .His post-graduate training includes a paper presentation on Symptom profile of children with Mania and co morbid Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Conduct Disorder(CD)” at VII Biennial Conference of the Indian Association of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health, New Delhi. Before Joining Al Fasht Medical Centre, he was working with Navajyothi Centre for Child Behavioral Sciences for 13 years as Psychiatric social worker. He chaired the Community outreach programs which included awareness lectures in schools and colleges on the importance of mental health, training and orientation of social workers, and Life Skill Training Program for Children at Schools. Mr. Reeshel Mathew has been an active participant in seminars, international and national workshops and presentations. He has been an invited speaker at multiple local and national organizations on topics concerning Child Protection, Psychological therapies for Children and Adolescents, ADHD, Early Intervention and Behavioral changes in school going children. His primary clinical interest includes the Parental counseling, Family counseling/ therapy / intervention service and detailed history taking for children and adolescents with behavioral, emotional and scholastic deficits. However, Mr. Reeshel also specializes in saving marriage in crisis, educating the patients and family members about their illness, treatment and rehabilitation and developing a better Work- Life balance .
